The Tri City Eagles Field Hockey club is excited to announce that Brent Solomon will be coaching the Division 1 Women’s League Team for the upcoming season. Brent has an extensive background of coaching, umpiring and playing field hockey at the highest level in South Africa.
Message from Brent Solomon
Hello
Welcome to the 2023/2024 Fall Field Hockey Season! My name is Brent Solomon, born in Cape Town, South Africa and I have been in love with field hockey all my life. Having played, coached, and umpired at various levels including Provincial and Men's Premier League in South Africa for over 15 years I have been given the privilege to live the sport in all its forms.
My philosophy with respect to coaching is constant, measured improvement and with special focus on basic skills and core strategy as a foundation to accelerate a team's performance. Hockey is a beautiful sport based on the principles of teamwork, tactics, and speed.
My African roots celebrate the idea of teamwork through the idea of Ubuntu which simply means "I am, because you are". In fact, the word ubuntu is just part of the Zulu phrase Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu, which literally means that a person is a person through other people. I apply this actively in my life especially as a coach. Sport can be a life changing experience if we approach it with the right attitude. Look forward to the season ahead and being part of the Tri-Cities Community.

Game Score Reporting
New for the 2023 Junior Field Hockey season, we have developed a more simplistic game score procedure for teams to report their field hockey game scores.
From either your computer or smartphone, click on this link:

You will be presented with a Google Form where you will fill in all the required details associated with your field hockey game. You will also receive a reply email showing you exactly what was submitted. Game results will be posted within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving the final game score from both team and can be viewed at: www.bcfieldhockey.com
Note:
• If conflicting game scores are received for the same game, the web administrator will send a reply email back requesting clarification from the two teams reporting the game scores.
• If a game has been rescheduled, please indicate the original scheduled date for the game when reporting the game score
By following the above procedures, not only will it streamline the process of keeping up-to-date scores on the website but will ensure the accuracy of the reporting.
