The mission of the TRI-CITY EAGLES FIELD HOCKEY CLUB is to provide our members with opportunities to develop lifelong field hockey skills and to play, coach or umpire field hockey to the best of their ability, in a positive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, self-confidence and enjoyment.

Drop-In for Fall Women on Monday Nights

FIELD HOCKEY'S NOT OVER YET FOR THOSE IN THE FALL WOMEN'S PROGRAM!   For those interested in continuing with field hockey over the next few months, we'll be holding drop-in sessions on MONDAY NIGHTS FROM 8:15 TO 9:30 P.M. at Cunnings Field until the end of June.

May Umpiring Courses

There will be two upcoming Provincial Umpiring Courses in May. The first will be on May 7th and 14th at the Kerrisdale Community center, the second will be May 26th and 28th at the Hugo Ray Clubhouse in West Vancouver.

All 5 Fall Tri-City Eagles Teams make it to the FINALS

Congratulations to all five TRI-CITY EAGLES Fall Women's teams who qualified not only for the semi-finals of the Vancouver Women's League but won and advanced to the Finals as well! The TRI-CITY EAGLES is the only Club with bragging rights about this accomplishment this season. All teams played hard at the Finals with the EAGLES from Division 2, the EAGLES IMPACT from Division 3, and the EAGLES WILD from Division 4, as playoff winners! Well done, Ladies! A fantastic and successful season for all the fall teams.

2008 Beijing Olympic Qualifying Tournament

The Women's Field Hockey 2008 Beijing Olympic Qualifying Tournament will be held at the University of Victoria from April 26th to May 4th, 2008.  Watch the Canadian Women's National team compete against Korea, Uruguay, Italy, Malaysia and Ireland to qualify for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.  More information is available at www.worldhockeyoqcanada.com.

Canadians to get Tax Credits for Kids' Sports

The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, released guidelines Dec. 19th on the Children's Fitness Tax Credit, which became effective on January 1, 2007.

The Minister confirmed that as recommended by the Expert Panel for the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit, the definition of eligible programs will support children’s participation in all programs that significantly contribute to their fitness.
