We are really looking forward to the 2019 season. See you out on the field!
I know that we have been collectively talking about this for several weeks, but I wanted to email to confirm details with families and players (especially if you have missed a recent game or practice) so that we are all on the same page.

Clare – sad that we will miss you at the team wrap up. Sending love and best wishes for a happy and safe holiday with your family and friends. See you in 2019.
*PRACTICE – CANCELLED – Nov 13 *
For those still keen for a run around, please do come down to the field as Div 2 coach Andrew said you are most welcome to join the practice. It is likely that Amira, Lisa and I will still have a run around.
GAME: SUNDAY, Nov 18th, 1:30pm.
Please be at the field 45 minutes before the game to warm up. We will be missing Jewel, Sydney and Georgia as far as I know this time. Please text me if you are not available for the game by 5pm WEDNESDAY so that I have time to pull up other players for this away game.
How would you like to give back this holiday season, and show the community that field hockey players are amazing athletes and incredible citizens? Let’s discuss Sunday, and again at practice Tuesday. We can challenge the other TC teams to match us, and help us.
Take care and see you all Sunday.
Michelle, Lisa and Amira.
Priya Puri is the TCE Umpire of the Month for October! In October she umpired the most games for the club, a total of 7 games in 3 weeks.
Since 2004, Priya has been involved with the Tri-City Eagles Field Hockey Club as a player, coach and umpire. She has umpired for over 7 years, and is one of our senior umpires. She extremely reliable and always steps up to umpire and mentor last minute games.
Priya became an umpire because she wanted to improve her understanding of field hockey and build confidence. “Becoming an umpire helped me become a better player and develop personal everyday skills,” says Priya.
Currently, Priya is in her 4th year of the Forestry Science program at UBC, where she will be writing her undergraduate thesis next year. She hopes to continue conducting research that will benefit the forestry industry of B.C. Her tip to developing umpires is to “trust your instincts, communicate, and have fun!”
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication Priya!
Game This Weekend: November 3rd – 2:30pm, Mobilio Field
– This is an important game for us – please come ready to play your best. Please be at the field 45mins ahead of game time. It will likely be a wet one, so bring a change of clothes. Lisa will run warm up. I will be on the field beforehand and will bring the coaching bag/gear/masks to the dug out.
Game Next weekend: November 10th, 12noon, BBY Lake Sports Complex
– Another important game. We will talk more at practice about this game.
Highschool Provicial and FHBC training
– Please let me know this week if you will be playing in provincials, and/or if you will be starting FHBC training this week so that I am aware of potential absences.
See you Saturday!
Michelle, Lisa and Amira.
